Ustadhah Massouda Ansari is the current head of the Islamic Studies department. She holds a BA degree in Usuluddin (Islamic Studies) from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan and a MA in Curriculum and Instruction. She is in her 18th year serving as an Islamic Studies and Quran teacher. She has developed the Quran and Islamic Studies Curriculum for the Islamic School of Irving.
Her passion is to influence, inspire and guide the next Muslim generation. She is a strong advocate of Islamic Schools, and believes that Islamic Schools are the main factor in preserving Islamic identity.
Ustadhah Massouda lives with her husband and three children in the United States for the past 27 years.
I am a pre K – 12, licensed TX school counselor. I have a BA degree in psychology from Portland State University and a MA from Lewis and Clark College. I had the pleasure of working as a school counselor in Portland public schools, Santa Clara of Assisi Catholic Academy and St. Mary of Carmel. Having lived in Pakistan, Oman and the US and being assimilated in different cultures, I became a strong supporter of social justice, equality and equity.
That is why I believe every child is unique and has a unique set of skills, therefore, every student’s success looks different. I hold high standards for all my students and am looking forward in advocating every student’s academic career, helping with college and career readiness and last but not least celebrating their personal and social success.
In my down time, I love spending time with my husband and my 2 boys, cooking, reading and bike riding.
Sr. Anita AbRashid has been teaching high school Math for 26 years and her 17-year serving ISI. She has Bachelor Degree in Science Educations, majoring in Math from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and earned her MBA from University of Dallas.
She comes from the family of educators, shared her passion of teaching with her late father, a brother, and a sister.

He has been with ISI for 10 years as Math teacher, head of Math department, and currently teacher calculus and serves as the testing coordinator for the school. Testing areas include STAAR, PSAT, SAT, MAP, AP, and AP Course Enrollment.
Sr. Nadia Rahim has been in education since 2003 with experience spanning as a Mathematics Interventionist; Middle and High School educator, Campus Improvement Council Member, and currently teaching English I and II in addition to her leadership responsibilities.
Sr. Nadia holds a MBA, a masters in Instructional Design, Texas state Teacher’s Certification,
She is a visionary about achieving high standards and holds her students to the highest expectations in both academics and character.
Sister Brenda Bleakney has been an educator for over 28 blessed years. She is in her 26th year of serving our beloved Islamic School of Irving. Her passion is to bring forth Social Emotional learning, Islamic Mindfulness, and the love for the Natural World. It is within this , where she finds inner-peace and the remembrance of our Lord Allah (swt).
She holds a management degree in Child Daycare, a teacher’s certification from the National Geographic Society, and several certificates on the connection between children/ learning/ and the natural world. A certification as a Social Emotional Learning Facilitator and Calming Movement instructor. She is also a noncommissioned security officer in the state of Texas.
Sr. Saeda Aljurf is dedicated to early childhood education and her qualifications showcase her commitment to providing a nurturing environment for young children. A combination of a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from university of Khartoum and an educational certification in early childhood education from Florida Atlantic University brings a unique perspective to her role as a Daycare and Preschool Director.
Having worked in the childcare field for 20 years, including 12 years at the Islamic School of Irving, demonstrates her expertise and long-term dedication to the well-being and development of children.
She values her role in serving the Muslim community and contributing positively to the lives of our young children and their families. Sr. Saeda’s goal of creating a loving and safe environment aligns perfectly with the needs of young learners and their families.
Sr. Saeda is a Licensed Director designated by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
